WHAT IS DEPTH & SHADOW WORK THERAPY?

Depth and shadow work therapy explores the unconscious mind to help you integrate hidden aspects of self.

Meet the parts of you that have been buried, rejected, or misunderstood.

This work is about shining light on the unconscious patterns that shape how you relate to yourself, others, and the world. In a culture that often encourages us to stay on the surface, depth work gives permission to go beneathβ€”into the rich, complex terrain of your inner world. Shadow work doesn’t mean something is wrong with youβ€”it means there are parts of you asking to be acknowledged, integrated, and healed.

Depth and Shadow Work Therapy: The Healing Beneath the Surface

Depth and shadow work invites us to move beyond the surface. This therapeutic approach explores the unconscious patterns, beliefs, and protective parts that have shaped your inner worldβ€”especially those that have been buried, disowned, or hidden away. It’s a powerful path for healing trauma, reclaiming self-worth, and integrating the full spectrum of who you are.

  • Welcoming the Shadow: Shadow work is not about fixing what's brokenβ€”it's about bringing compassionate awareness to the parts of you that have been exiled or misunderstood. These parts often hold the keys to your deepest strength, sensitivity, and truth.

  • Rooted in Depth Psychology: This approach draws from Jungian and depth-oriented modalities, honoring your dreams, emotions, ancestral stories, and unconscious patterns. We move at your pace, following the threads that feel alive and ready to be seen.

  • Meeting What’s Beneath the Surface: Together, we explore what lies beneath repetitive emotional experiences, relationship dynamics, and inner conflicts. Rather than bypassing discomfort, we learn to be with itβ€”gently, skillfully, and with curiosity.

  • Integration and Wholeness: The goal isn’t to eliminate your shadow but to integrate it. When you can welcome all parts of yourself, even the ones that feel too much or not enough, you begin to experience a more grounded, authentic, and empowered way of being.

Hi, I’m Stephanie Brumfield

Licensed Therapist in California, Holistic Therapy & Spiritual Support

Hi, I’m Stephanie Brumfield, a holistic spiritual therapist, certified astrologer, and eternal seeker. Deeply attuned to the subtle and sensitive aspects of life, I specialize in creating a compassionate space for individuals who feel misunderstood or out of place due to their neurodivergence, beliefs, or values. My work focuses on helping clients navigate familial disconnect, societal expectations, and spiritual awakenings, guiding them on a journey from black sheep to holy outsider.

As someone who is neurodivergent (AuDHDer), I value soulful, meaningful connections and draw inspiration from the wisdom of nature, especially trees. With a deep passion for ancestral work, mythology, astrology, trauma healing, and dreams, I integrate these elements into a practice that honors the cyclical nature of death, rebirth, and transformation - a reflection of my Scorpio Moon. Whether I’m researching, reading, or listening to 90s grunge, my approach to healing is grounded in energy medicine, spirituality, and the belief that personal healing can ripple outward to transform the collective.
